hat hardware do you use to read the sti cpu?

i'd imagines some very expensive piece of hardware. my guess is that uart is on scart, since i can see traces from pin 10 and 12 (tv scart). other scart (vcr) doesn't have those traces.

yes, but my uart is closed by scart so I'm going to put the FW with uart open and only then can I read it through scart. but how do I put the FW?

need a flash programmer to put new FW. either that or solder a memory chip that has FW with uart open.

i tested pins on my scart, pin 14 seems to be gnd, pin 12 (Tx pin) 0 volts and pin 10 (Rx pin) 3.3v. can anyone confirm that this means that uart is closed?

If you don't even know how to flash a modified firmware into the StB.

I would just forget everything else.

Again, it is not without reason that there are no step by step instructions.

Only the MaxTV Pace StB have a open UART Firmware. I think for this all, this Board is not the Place for this. To decrypt the NuiD+eCWPK.

yes, i have max pace. but i'm not sure what sw has open uart. sw 2.1.16 is definitely closed, but on my box, there is an older version.

For this 2 Boxen on the Market for MaxTV NuID -> 2X -> better to ... and NuID-> 3X -> you must have Firmware to access to the CPU.

Have you all to conrol the CPU, then you can get the right Data but, i think no give you more Information.

you confirm that there should be no output in console if uart is locked? or should there be some output even if uart is closed? i just want to rule out bad wiring.
